We are looking for an assistant store manager to join our Whalers Village team. In this position you would assist in the responsibilities alongside the store manager and help with the overall daily operations. If you have a heart for service, love for fashion, as well as strong leadership skills, you could be the one!

Please note; this is not a seasonal position. Preference for a flexible schedule. Must be available a minimum of 1 weekend shift, evenings and holidays.

Store hours: 9am - 9pm daily

Requirements:

• Excellent communication, decision making, and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and outlook
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Strong multitasking and delegation skills
• Experience with social media (i.e. Instagram)
• Must be trustworthy, reliable, and punctual
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and move around the store for long periods (up to 8 hours), carry multiple items on hangers, and squat down to restock low drawers. The employee may occasionally be required to stand on a ladder or lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Willingness to work one weekend shift weekly and holidays
• Previous retail and management experience required
• Advanced customer service skills

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Greet and assist customers in a hospitable manner
• Provide styling recommendations based on customer preferences
• Operate the POS system and handle transactions
• Stay informed and up to date on merchandise, special events and sales goals
• Assist in training the employees
• Consistently check store metrics to evaluate store performance
• Communicate, motivate and nurture the growth of employees
• Participate in the company communication app
• Process weekly shipment
• Assist store manager with overall store maintenance (i.e. A/C servicing, etc.) and maintain store cleanliness
• Ensure the store is aesthetically pleasing and filled with merchandise at the required level daily
