WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
It was a well-intentioned and innocent idea. It seemed that most boutiques on Maui back in 2006 were beyond reach for the thousands of women who live and work on the island. Mahina’s co-founders thought a boutique that sold stylish clothing at more affordable prices may meet their needs. They didn't imagine that Mahina would not only become a local favorite but that visitors would also flock to their stores. And since that first store opened in Paia, Mahina has grown to a 16-store chain on Maui, Oahu, Kauai and the Big Island.
POSITION DETAILS
We are looking for part time sales associates. Our perfect candidates are friendly, efficient, reliable and have a heart for service and an eye for fashion.
MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK A MINIMUM OF ONE WEEKEND SHIFT WEEKLY.
Please note; this is not a seasonal position.
Store hours: 10am- 6pm daily

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and move around the store for long periods (up to 8 hours), carry multiple items on hangers, and squat down to restock low drawers. The employee may occasionally be required to stand on a ladder or lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Previous retail experience preferred
Requirements:
- Greet and assist customers in a hospitable manner
- Stay informed and up to date on merchandise, special events and sales goals
- Provide styling recommendations based on customer preferences
- Operate the POS system and handle transactions
- Maintain store cleanliness and restock inventory
- Handle refunds, returns, and exchanges with a focus on customer service
- Monthly store credit
- 50% store discount at Roger (our new concept store) and Mahina (for employees only, this does not include family and friends)
- 401K matching at 4% after 1 year and 1000 hours
