WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
It was a well-intentioned and innocent idea. It seemed that most boutiques on Maui back in 2006 were beyond reach for the thousands of women who live and work on the island. Mahina’s co-founders thought a boutique that sold stylish clothing at more affordable prices may meet their needs. They didn't imagine that Mahina would not only become a local favorite but that visitors would also flock to their stores. And since that first store opened in Paia, Mahina has grown to a 16-store chain on Maui, Oahu, Kauai and the Big Island, as well as recently launching Roger, our new retail concept store in Haleiwa.

POSITION DETAILS
We are looking for a creative, friendly and independent individual to manage our Mahina/ Roger social media outlets.

    Responsibilities:

  • Planning, implementing and monitoring Mahina/ Roger’s social media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, grow our social following and improve marketing efforts
  • Translating the in-store experience to our social media customers with an emphasis on current inventory exposure
  • Managing the social media calendar to follow business objectives; curation, creating engaging weekly story content, writing and scheduling posts across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest
  • Interacting with relevant social media outlets, managing customer and community comments, and engaging in relevant online conversations
  • Lifestyle photoshoot styling and assisting on-site (as needed) at photoshoots, attending community events etc.

    Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar social media role is required
  • Fashion retail sales experience preferred
  • Amazing fashion and styling sense
  • Effective organization and time management capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Must live in on Oahu, have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
